The public is welcome to join the Franciscan Healthcare Relay For Life Team for a Casserole Luncheon on Wednesday, September 18th from 11am to 1pm at the Franciscan Healthcare Cafeteria in West Point. Free will donation.

There will be a Salvation Army Mobile Food Pantry on Saturday, September 21st from 8:00am to 10:00am or until food is gone, at Nielsen Community Center in West Point.

SPA Paper Drive on Saturday, September 21st from 8am to 10am at the corner of Wisner & Mill Street in West Point. Come drop off your cardboard and paper to be recycled. There will be a crew at the trailer ready to unload your vehicle when you pull up. To participate please do your part and have the boxes broken down and no larger than 4′ wide, no trash, plastic, styrofoam or food contaminated boxes, no staples should be left in the cardboard and remove plastic tape from cardboard.

Our Farmers Market season will wrap up on Saturday, September 21st with our Harvest Market.  It will be held in the Eagles Parking Lot from 8-11a.  St. Paul’s will be on-site selling their famous mums and pumpkins, West Point Implement will have a tractor for the kiddos to check out, a caramel apple bar, and more!

Just like regular golf but with a crazy, country twist. You only need a golf club or two to play on Saturday September 21. Registration fee of $250/four-person team. All are welcome to join St. Paul’s for their annual Oktoberfest on Sunday September 22nd at the Nielsen Center in West Point, NE.  Doors open at 8a, Church Service is at 9:30a. At 11a the German Meal begins with  Beef & Noodles, Dumplings, Brats, Kraut, German Potato Salad, Cheesy Hash Browns, BBQ Green Beans and Desserts. Hot Dogs and Mac & Cheese for the children. There will be a silent and live auction. Also don’t miss the Mums, Pupmkins & Gourds for sale.

The Small Business Council will hold a meeting at 5:45p on Tuesday the 24th of September at the West Point Brewing Co.

The Supportive Parents Association of GACC is holding a Drive-Thru Dinner on September 25th at the GACC Cafeteria from 5-6:30p. Graybeals are catering the meal of Steak Sandwiches, Cheesy Hashbrowns, Green Beans and Homemade Dessert. Pre-order by September 16th, $15/meal.

Join CharterWest Bank for Chamber Coffee on Friday September 27th at 10a. Kevin Larson will be retiring after almost 40 years with CharterWest. The public is welcome to stop by and extend wishes for a Happy Retirement.

Franciscan Healthcare will be hosting a golf tournament at the Oakland Golf Club on Saturday, September 28th beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Trinity and Grace Churches  will hold their annual  Octoberfest Drive-Thru Dinner on Wednesday, October 2nd from 5pm to 7pm at the Nielsen Community Center in West Point. Tickets are $10. Serving chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, vegetable, salad, dinner roll & pumpkin dessert. Follow posted signs and enter via Bridge St by the swimming pool. There will be a Red Cross Bloodmobile in West Point on Monday October 7th at the Nielsen Community Center from noon-6p.

Cuming County Public Power District will host a Chamber Coffee in recognition of National Public Power Week on Friday, October 11th beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Franciscan Healthcare will have their Drive-Thru Burger Bash on Monday, October 14th from 4:30pm to 6:30pm under the cove at Franciscan Healthcare’s Main Entrance in West Point. Also offering Drive-Thru Flu Shots.

Join other ghosts, goblins and super heroes for the annual Trick or Treat on Main Street. Businesses will be handing out treats inside and outside.  This fun event will run from 5:30 -6:30p.
